Engineering-Driven Security Design
At LA CCTV Supply, security design is not a sales exercise—it is an engineering discipline. Our design team produces construction-grade documentation packages including riser diagrams, floor plan layouts, cable schedules, equipment lists, and detailed specifications that integrators can bid and build from with confidence.
We design systems that work together as a unified platform, not a collection of disparate products. Every design addresses network architecture, power distribution, cable pathways, environmental considerations, and long-term serviceability.
Design Disciplines
Video Surveillance (CCTV)
IP camera system design including camera selection, lens calculations, field-of-view analysis, storage sizing, network bandwidth planning, and VMS configuration. We design for both operational monitoring and forensic-quality recording.
Access Control Systems
Door hardware integration, credential technology selection (HID SEOS, PIV, mobile), controller architecture, anti-passback configuration, and integration with visitor management and identity systems.
Intrusion Detection (IDS)
Perimeter and interior detection system design using motion sensors, glass break detectors, door contacts, and duress devices. Integration with monitoring stations and automated response protocols.
Mass Notification & Paging
IP-based paging and mass notification system design including SIP endpoint placement, speaker coverage analysis, zone configuration, and integration with fire alarm and emergency management systems.
Intercom & Communication
Video intercom system design for entry points, lobby stations, and emergency call points. We specify systems that integrate with access control for unified door management.
Network & Infrastructure
Low-voltage infrastructure design including structured cabling, fiber optic backbone, network switching, PoE power budgets, and pathway/conduit routing for security system support.
What You Receive
Construction Drawing Package
AutoCAD/Revit floor plans with device placement, cable routing, riser diagrams, panel elevations, and detail sheets ready for contractor bidding.
Written Specifications
CSI-formatted specifications (Division 27/28) defining products, execution requirements, testing procedures, and acceptance criteria.
Bill of Materials
Detailed equipment lists with manufacturer, model number, quantity, and unit pricing from authorized distribution channels.
Network Architecture Documents
VLAN diagrams, IP addressing schemes, bandwidth calculations, and switch port allocations for the security network.
